Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project
The Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project is one of the largest water infrastructure developments in the Southwest, designed to deliver a reliable, long-term municipal and industrial water supply to the eastern Navajo Nation, the Jicarilla Apache Nation, and the City of Gallup, New Mexico. The system will include approximately 300 miles of pipeline, nineteen pumping plants, and two water treatment facilities, providing sustainable surface water to communities that have historically relied on declining and poor-quality groundwater. This investment is designed to meet the 40-year water demand of roughly 250,000 people, improving quality of life and supporting long-term regional growth.
